This one-week foundation course teaches you to design and build your own custom bike frame. You’ll learn key skills like using BikeCad, tube mitering, brazing, and frame alignment. By completing a custom steel fillet-brazed frame, you’ll gain essential knowledge and hands-on experience to continue progressing independently.
Bicycle and Manufacturing: Complete Training Courses for All Levels
ETB courses and modules are adapted for all levels, designed to be taught according to an approach that combines theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired over 10 years of professional and pedagogical experience in the bicycle sector, as well as as in different universities and design schools. Our courses are grouped into three main areas.
DCB – II Bicycle Design and Frame-Building II (10 Day Course)
This is an intensive 10-day course that builds on the foundations of our Bicycle Design and Construction I course (DCB-I) — students craft two bike frames, while refining skills and learning techniques like working with shaped tubes, internal cable routing, and advanced brazing. This course is ideal for those looking to set up their own workshop or business.

Brazing Fundamentals: Oxide-Acetylene Welding (1 Day Course)
This one-day course teaches Fillet-Brazing and Capillary-Brazing techniques for steel, focusing on torch welding fundamentals. Offered on Wednesdays during our DCB-I course, students learn key skills like temperature control, torch speed, welding management with materials like brass and silver through hands-on exercises.

Further Education — Building on the Foundations
Looking for other hands-on experience and specialized training?
Expand on your foundational skills with our specialized learning opportunities—from in-depth online resources to hands-on TIG welding courses.
TIG Welding
TIG welding course designed to learn the basic principles and procedures of constructing steel frames using this type of union. The objective is to offer a solid base of knowledge and skills on which the student can later practice and perfect their TIG welding technique on an individual basis.
ON-LINE Introductory Course
In this theoretical course we offer an overview of the design and construction of the bicycle (custom or serial) as well as all the most relevant aspects of the process: customer relations, selection of materials and components, construction techniques, construction tools. workshop and design programs.
Fork Manufacturing
This course is designed to be taken after our ‘Bicycle Design and Construction Course I’ or the ‘Oxy-Acetylene Welding Course’, although it can also be taken independently.
Supervised practice
This module is designed so that students who have already taken a subject with us can delve deeper into it, review and practice the material seen in a supervised manner.
